This page will be used to document the game I will be starting for my local gaming group. We will be using the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay rules and the Freeport setting from Green Ronin (Row-nin) publishing. Character generation and early discussions are just beginning, so there’s not much to post here yet.
Back story that has been given is still slim. Here is what I have told the players; While en route to Estalia, your merchant vessel is wrecked south of the Tilea Sea. You find yourselves brought ashore in the city of Freeport with only the shirt on your back and a paltry sum of coins. When even that gets stolen from you, a job opportunity avails itself. You have two options – take the job, or starve in the back alleyways of the City of Adventure.
I only have one character concept submission so far, and here it is;
Name: Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra
Race: Human
Origin: Estalia
Career: Estalian Diestro
Age: 26Son of a well regarded sword maker. At the age of 18 his father exiled him for messing around with a rival’s daughter. He left to Tilea to find his own fortune. Which he did by gambling, carousing and dueling – within the law of course.
But his life was not trouble free. He attracted the attentions of a noble’s daughter and when he spurned her advances (she was an ugly, pox mark-ridden girl) she cried foul and he was forced to flea again. So at the age of 22 he signed on with a merchant crew and left for the Empire.
Life was fairly normal and boring. Until one day a box showed up with the broken hilt of one of his fathers swords. Within the week he joined the crew of the Lucky Doris.
